When I was in the midst of my first ever property deal, I pictured stepping- stones across a river, with banks either side, you may have heard me talk about this before. Each project, each journey I take is made up of steps. Never do I have to jump 2, I take one at a time. If we jump steps we may miss something important. You will have heard me talk about Due Diligence and the importance not just of it but of understanding what it means and how to cover every base by doing it well. Jumping steps doesn’t give an advantage, but following processes, being methodical, using systems and taking one step at a time to understand how to do those things does indeed give an advantage and takes away the stress of thinking you need to know everything, have it all sorted in advance and be good at it all. We can all take one step at a time, as it’s just a step - and where we step, if we gain clarity, we can with confidence move on to the next step.
